More than 30k steel industry professionals from Russia and all over the world will visit Metal-Expo’2013, the 19th International Industrial Exhibition and more than 750 companies from more than 35 world countries will arrange their expositions at the All-Russia Exhibition Center on November 12-15.

Such a large-scale event will bring together leading steel companies, tubes and pipes producers, mesh products manufacturers, non-ferrous enterprises, aluminium rolled stock and alloys manufacturers, steel products suppliers, steel service centers, builders, heavy engineering works, oil and gas companies, and many more companies of the real sector of economy. The whole range of ferrous and non-ferrous products, the most state-of-the-art equipment and modern technologies for the steel industry, metalworking, and steel service centers will be exhibited at Metal-Expo’2013. Currently, some 30 new investment projects are implemented in Russia. A number of new mini-mills and facilities based on operating plants and works will be presented at the exhibition this year. They will use Metal-Expo platform to find new high technologies and productive equipment.   
Leading steel companies and holdings, engineering solutions suppliers and equipment manufacturers, as well as the largest steel traders from Russia and more than 35 world countries regularly participate in Metal-Expo. Metal-Expo’2013 will also exhibit the latest trends in the machine-building sector, fuel and energy complex, transportation, and construction which account for 54% of the total number of visitors. Construction sector has for many years been the main user of the steel products in Russia.  Steel producers and suppliers actively develop steel structures business supplying their products for the construction of industrial, commercial and residential buildings. MetallStroyFroum’2013, The 5th Exhibition for Steel Products and Structures for the Construction Sector will bring together steel constructors and their customers. Steel companies and service centers including MMK, Mechel, Severstal, Ruukki, Uraltrubostal Molodechno Steel Structures Plant, Metallinvest, Energomash, Energoprom, Steelinvest, Kireevsk Light Steel Structures Works, Steel Structures, Melnikov’s TSNIIPSK and many more Russian and international companies will present their latest solutions, products, equipment and technologies for the construction industry.

Mining and metallurgical complex accounts for the major part of all the domestic and international cargoes transportations. Recently, the bar has been raised in terms of meeting delivery deadlines and order batching at all kinds of cargo transportations including transportation by railway, water, or trucks. Logistics costs in some industries reach 10 to 40%.  MetallTransLogistik’2013, The 2d Exhibition for Transportation and Logistics in the Steel Industry will become the main platform for logistics companies to present their latest solutions and innovations. The exhibition is focused on introducing advanced logistics solutions to the Russian steel market, and developing business and technical cooperation among transportation companies, carrier vehicles producers and mining and metallurgical complex.   

Russia with its potential steel market remains one of the word biggest steel producers. Steel producers and users traditionally use Metal-Expo as a platform to discuss market trends, show their possibilities, and present their strategies and business plans. Metal-Expo program of events includes more than 50 conferences, seminars, round tables held in producers-dealer and producer-user format. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation will hold a meeting of Steel Industry Coordination Council and a workshop on implementation a Program on Mastering New Types and Improving Quality of Steel Products for the Automotive Industry.
Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers will hold a meeting on issues of development of production and consumption of aluminium rolled products and sections in Russia. Hundreds of  companies will attended many events during the Metal Week in Moscow including Russian Metal and Steel Market, Metal Construction: Dynamics of Development, Steel Industry and Cargo Transportation, New Promising Materials, Equipment and Technologies,  Zinc: Corrosion Protection, Modern Technologies for Non-Ferrous Metals Production and Processing, IT for Steel Industry and Steel Trading as well as many more seminars, round tables and presentations covering all the aspects of the steel business.  

A ceremony of awarding winners of Main Event in the Russian Steel Industry’2013 contest will be held for the third time during Metal-Expo. The contest is focused on support and popularization of innovative projects in the industry. Among the winners will be the most significant for the national steel industry projects. A number of companies will be awarded Metal-Expo gold and silver medals for their engineering solutions and implementation the most state-of-the art equipment and technologies. Winners of contest among steel constructors for the best solutions for application of steel and aluminium in construction will also be awarded at Metal-Expo’2013. To encourage young scientists and promote their developments in the market, Metal-Expo established annual monetary grants for young scientists in 2010. The winners will receive Metal-Expo grants in the amounts comparable to state grants at Future is Determined Today summit for young scientists.
