Metal-Expo’2024 will be followed up with the great business activity.

Metal-Expo'2024, the 30th International Industrial Exhibition (October 29th - November 1st, Expocentre Fairgrounds) will be held in Moscow. The anniversary forum of metallurgists will grow by 30% compared to the previous year and will attract about 1,000 exhibiting companies and over 30,000 visitors from metal-consuming industries. This will allow metal market participants to present new products, projects and solutions, modern equipment and technologies, and establish mutually beneficial business relationships with suppliers and consumers.

This year several leading Russian metallurgical and engineering companies, as well as enterprises from the CIS, Asia and some European countries, expressed their interest in Metal-Expo’2024.

Large-scale exhibitions will be held by such key market players as Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), Severstal, NLMK Group, United Metallurgical Company, Metalloinvest Management Company, EVRAZ, Mechel, Novostal-M, Ural  Steel, TEMPO, Akron Holding, Uraltrubprom, Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works, Tula-Steel, Electrostal Metallurgical Plant, Zlatoust Metallurgical Works, Nizhne-Volzhsky Pipe Plant, AMR, JSC, CMK, MMK-METIZ, Severstal-metiz, EZTM, JSC, Metallinvest Management Company , Byelorussian Steel Works, MMC-Steel, Southern Mining and Metallurgical Complex, Ruspolimet, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, KUMZ, Krasnoyarsk Metallurgical Plant, KUZOCM, Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant, Rusatom MetalTech, Krasny Oktyabr Corporation, Metprom Group, etc. Delegations of 50-100 specialists will work at the stands of these and a number of other companies in the real sector of the economy. In total, over 4.5 thousand booth workers will be employed at the exposition.

Metal-Expo'2024 will take place in exhibit halls 2, 3, and 8 of Expocentre Fairgrounds. In addition to these halls, which have a combined area of approximately 40,000 square meters, extra 15,000 square meters of hall 7 will be included. The forum will feature a wide representation of metallurgy and mechanical engineering companies from China and other Asian countries, with an expected participation of about 500 foreign companies. Manufacturers from over ten countries, including companies from China, Turkey, India, Iran, Italy, Germany, and Kazakhstan, will present state-of-the-art equipment, technologies and components, as well as a wide range of modern metal products.

The exhibition will be attended by over 30,000 key consumers of metal products from various industries, including construction, machine building, aircraft building, shipbuilding, fuel and energy, transport, logistics, metal processing, and metal trading companies.

This year Russia is expected to experience an increase in the housing and infrastructure construction consumption. The residential sector has seen a record number of apartment building construction projects launched, and construction volumes are set to increase. Additionally, there will be an increase in the construction of roads, railways, bridges, and interchanges. Furthermore, the reconstruction of housing and utilities will accelerate. The demand for steel products is also increasing in the machine-building industry, where the first results of the import substitution policy are already visible. Metallurgists report an increase in the output of high-quality products that were previously imported from Europe. This indicates that the market environment is developing successfully. The Russian metallurgical industry has several important tasks ahead, including the development of the new steel grades, expanding the production of high-mill products for use in various industries, and substituting imported equipment and components.

According to the co-chairman of the organizing committee of the metallurgists' forum A. Romanov, the market configuration is now changing significantly. Consolidation is leading to changes in the corporate strategies, management paradigms, specific line personnel, procurement, and sales policies. Therefore, there is a need for professional communication and discussion of new industry movements. Another important trend in the modern metallurgical industry is the implementation of large-scale investment projects and the commissioning of the new facilities. As a result, companies must present and promote new products and services while seeking out new sales niches. The most significant investment projects will qualify for the Main Event of the Year nomination, while new types of products and engineering developments will be awarded Metal-Expo gold and silver medals.

The exhibition's business programme will feature several professional competitions, in addition to over 50 conferences, seminars, and round tables covering all segments of the metallurgical industry. These events are typically organized by the professional associations and specialized ministries, ensuring their effectiveness and popularity. The programme is expected to draw more than 5,000 representatives from the country's real economy sector to the Metallurgists' Forum. Meetings with the dealers, clients and partners will traditionally be held by TMK, NLMK Group, EVRAZ, Severstal, Metalloinvest, Novostal-M, Ural Steel Management Company, Severstal-Metiz and other market players. The Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers will organise a meeting of producers, suppliers and consumers of raw materials and rolled non-ferrous metals, as well as manufacturers and processors of coated steels. The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will gather key market participants for the Coordination Council for the Development of the Metallurgical Complex and discuss the Cross-sectoral Program for the development of new types and improvement of the metal products quality for the automotive industry.

Metal-Expo’2023 broke all previous records, with the exhibition growing almost twice as large. Over the course of four days, there was a high business activity. The majority of exhibitors, both the traditional and the new one, expressed satisfaction with the exhibition's rich work, noting its effectiveness for business development. They also highly appreciated the professional composition of the forum visitors. CEOs of the major steel and metal trading companies participated in the meetings with the counterparties and customers. According to A. Efimov, General Director of Metal-Expo, the exhibition industry experienced a significant increase in an activity last year, and experts have noted a high demand for personal communication. He also predicts that the interest in event marketing will continue to grow in 2024. This interest is particularly justified for professional events where colleagues can discuss the key issues on the agenda face to face".

For three decades Metal-Expo exhibition has established itself as an effective platform for resolving the wide range of issues related to running a metallurgical business. From October 29th  - November 1st the exhibition will showcase a diverse range of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy products, modern equipment, and technologies at Moscow's Expocentre Fairgrounds on Krasnaya Presnya. The forum will be attended by the senior executives from metallurgical, development, energy, machine-building, and metal trading companies who make purchasing and sales decisions. Thousands of business and informal meetings and negotiations will take place over four days, during which counterparties can conclude cooperation agreements, sign promising contracts, and agree on the supply of raw materials, equipment, components, and end products in one place and at the same time.

Exhibition guests can explore promising developments, new services, and progressive models of cooperation. Direct contact between producers and consumers, demonstrations of industry know-how, experience exchange, long-term forecasts, and discussions of prospective strategies will undoubtedly be important factors in the further development of the metallurgical complex and related industries.
