Specta Increases Investment in Packaging Strap Production
Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov and the President of Specta Group AG Erik Helin signed an investment agreement as part of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. The agreement specifies that Specta will create additional capacities in Kostroma for the production of PET straps and storage facilities.
Having already implemented two projects with a total investment of 30 million euros, Speсta is VolgaStrap’s main investor.
The company plans to invest 250 million rubles in the new project. The design capacity of the production will be 3 thousand tonnes of polyester strap per year.
Companies representing metallurgy, pipe, wood processing, construction materials and pulp and paper industries are the main consumers of the plant’s products.
Now, the project for manufacturing labelling products is under way here, and over 30 million rubles has already been invested in it.
The plant employs about 200 persons, and new projects will create another 20 jobs.

And this is great!”said Mikko Tapani Hautala, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to the Russian Federation.
