MMK Establishes Artificial Intelligence Competence Center

The center will develop high-tech solutions and ensure the scalability of AI projects to enhance the company's business efficiency.

MMK actively utilizes artificial intelligence technologies for big data processing, optimization of production processes, cost reduction, quality control, and workplace safety.

"Over the five years of implementing MMK's digitalization strategy, more than 50% of projects across various divisions of the enterprise have been carried out using AI. The economic impact of implementing these solutions has exceeded 4.5 billion rubles. One of the latest large-scale projects is a digital assistant for predicting the temperature of orders in the electric steelmaking shop, developed using machine learning methods," said Dmitry Muravyov, Head of the Competence Center for Mathematical Modeling and Advanced Analytics at #MMK_Informservice.

To scale successful practices, MMK will consolidate its expertise in AI development and implementation within the new center. Its work will be based on a wide range of technologies, including forecasting and optimization, computer vision, large language models, and many others.
