SSAB products stirred interest of Metal-Expo’2014 visitors

As an exhibitor of Metal-Expo’2014, SSB held on November 12 a press-conference The Merger of SSAB and Ruukki: New Leader on the Global Steel Market to tell about a new business-strategy of the company and the advantages of using high-strength steels, cold-rolled steels, steels with polymer coatings, tubular products, and shapes. Heads of all the divisions took part in the event. “The newly born giant will acquire and combines the best from the 2 companies for customers and partners to receive higher service”, said V. Pikalov, Director for Development and Production, Ruukki Rus. With its 8.8Mt/y production capacity the new corporation will become a leader in the global special steels market. SSAB has a wide network in 50 world countries including Russia and the CIS, and its business is focused on developing long-term relations with old customers rather than finding new ones.
OMK reports results of participation in Metal-Expo’2014

Vyksa Steel Works (part of OMK) was awarded 2 Metal-Expo medals for mastering innovative types of products: silver medal for mastering production of flats and steel electric welded straight seamed tubes and gold medal for mastering production of railway wheels for high speed trains.
OMK was also awarded a cup in nomination For the Best Exposition which was attended by more than 30 professionals.
OMK also attended more than 10 conferences, presentations and round tables held during Metal-Expo’2014..

Metal-Expo’2014 provided Krasniy Oktyabr a good opportunity to establish new business relations and sign cooperation agreements for the next year let alone to exhibit an extended whole range of products and solutions.
This time Krasniy Oktyabr shared the stand with its partner Zlatoust Steel Works. The joint exposition attended by more than 30 professionals became one of the most popular among visitors. Traditionally, a special attention was paid to stainless, highly-alloyed, and heat-resistant steels. Visitors also showed keen interest in и new types of products: cold-rolled steels, and tubular billets with finished surface.

Metinvest sums up results of participation in Metal-Expo’2014

Metinvest team consisting of professionals of Metinvest Eurasia, Metinvest-Ukraine, Metinvest-Steel Service Center, and Metinvest Distribution sales divisions participated in Metal-Expo’2014.
During the exhibition the company held more than 450 meetings with its key customers from all the major steel consuming regions of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other CIS states.
Metinvest also held a press-conference for its partners and visitors on its stand. The company’s professionals and experts spoke about Metalvest sales strategy in Russia and Belarus, about the company’s new products and production program.
“Metal-Expo’2014 has been a success. We have held many meetings with our regular and new customers which have helped us to understand their requirements better. We together with our partners are focused on improving quality of our products”, said R. Rybalov, General Manager, Metinvest Eurasia.

WA Kurgan: results of participation in Metal-Expo’2014

PROTEK summing up Metal-Expo’2014 participation results

27 PROTEK professionals attended at the stand during Metal-Expo’2014. All the company’s divisions attending many events of the Metal Week in Moscow were awarded in nominations: The Best Sales Network of Russia’2014, The Best Stock in Central Region of Russia and The Best Steel Service Center Image in Russia. In addition, Korolyov Pipe Works awarded PROTEK as the most reliable partner.
TMK granted the company Golden Regional Dealer’s Certificate at the exhibition.

Mechel received Metal-Expo’2014 awards

On its corporate stand Mechel exhibited products of Chelyabinsk Steel Works, Urals Foundry, Beloretsk Steel Works, Urals Forgery, Izhstal, Vyartsilya Hardware Plant, and Kasly Foundry. More than 100 Mechel and Mechel Service professionals attended at the stand during the exhibition to inform visitors about the latest products and solutions of the Group. Mechel mainly focused on presenting unique opportunities of rail beams mill by Chelyabinsk Steel Works manufacturing products for construction and rails for high-speed trains. For the time being Mechel has mastered production of 18 types of shapes including 2 types of rails Р-50 and Р-65 on the mill. The following Mechel facilities were awarded Metal-Expo gold and silver medals for having carried out modernization projects and mastered new types of products and technologies:
• Mechel-Steel Management Company and Mechel Service for engineering and implementation of steel products labeling system based on QR and bar codes;
• Beloretsk Steel Works for engineering and implementation of technology of welded steel wire manufacture of alloyed steel grade Св-10Г1СН-ВИ;
• Chelyabinsk Steel Works and Uralkuz were awarded a certificate for mastering technology of continuous casting of OC steel grades;
• Chelyabinsk Steel Works was awarded a certificate for engineering and mastering technology of plates manufacture of ХН78Т alloy;
Mechel-Service website was awarded in nomination The Best Internet Project 2014 Among Russian and the CIS steel producers and traders.
Kasly Foundry manufactured to order cups for the best exposition at Metal-Expo’2014. Among others Mechel Group stand was awarded the cup at the Official Closing Ceremony on November 14.

Belorussian Steel Works was awarded for developing scientific and technical cooperation with Russian companies

At Metal-Expo’2014 Belorussian Steel Works was awarded a gold medal for contributing in development of scientific and technical cooperation with Russian companies. The company’s stand was also awarded a cup in nomination for the best exposition. A two-storey stand of Belorussian Steel Works of around 100sqm was decorated in traditional colors. The corporate stand exhibited not only Belorussian Steel Works, but also Mogilyov Steel works, Rechitsa Metizny Plant, Minsk Bearing Plant, Polesyeelektromash, SITIMO, and Belorussian Steel Works Trade House in Moscow. The companies held many meetings with potential customers during the exhibition to work out sales strategies and know the latest market trends.
