Mechel comprisesover 20 facilities that produce coal, iron ore, steel, rolls, ferroalloys, heat and electric power. All of the Group’s enterprises work within a single production chain – from mining raw materials to output and sales.
Mechel’s steel facilities produce rolled longs, flats, sections and shapes from various types of steel, as well as hardware, forgings and stampings. Mechel is Russia’s top producer of specialty steels and alloys with the widest product range, and is Russia’s fourth largest manufacturer of long rolls. Mechel is also one of Russia’s leading hardware producers.
Mechel’s products are marketed by Mechel-Service, one of Russia’s most extensive steel trade networks.
Mechel’s steel division includes Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant, Izhstal, Urals Stampings Plant, Vyartsilya Metal Products Plant, Mechel Nemunas, Bratsk Ferroalloy Plant and Kaslinsky Plant of Art Casting.
