Dmitry Medvedev: Due to large-scale infrastructure projects planned in Russia, the role of the steel industry is increasing considerably
Metal-Expo Management has received welcome address to all Metal-Expo’2014 participants from D. Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation: The welcome address reads: Russian and international companies have gathered together for the 20th time in Moscow at the VDNkHa, which over the years has become a prestigious fairground for exhibiting achievements. The whole range of ferrous and non-ferrous products, the most state-of-the art equipment and most advanced technologies are exhibited here today. The busy program of events provides all the delegates a perfect opportunity not only to share their best practices and discuss the most pressing problems of the industry, but also to sign mutually profitable contracts. The steel industry has always been one of the key sectors of the national economy. Furthermore, due to large-scale infrastructure projects planned in Russia for the next few years its role is increasing considerably. Reconstructions of BAM and Transsib, building of Central Belt Highway as well as new gas and oil pipelines require loads of steel rolled products, tubes and steel structures. In my belief, Russian companies together with their international partners will play an active role in this responsible mission with Metal-Expo’2014 helping all its participants efficiently work out the strategy of development.
Dmitry Medvedev wishes all the Metal-Expo’2014 exhibitors and visitors success and fruitful dialogue.
