MMK Trading House receives Russian Union of Metal Suppliers awards

MMK Trading House (Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, and several of its subdivisions received prestigious awards at competitions organized by the Russian Union of Metal Suppliers (RSPM). The awards were presented as part of the annual Metal Week in Moscow.

Every year, the RSPM holds three all-Russian competitions: Best Metal Warehouse in Russia, Best Steel Service Centre in Russia and Best Sales Network in Russia. The aim of these competitions is to promote advanced achievements and practices in metal products distribution and the development of warehouse and metal services in the Russian metals market. This year’s award ceremony was held on 9 November at the conclusion of the 23rd international conference Russian Metal and Steel Market.

This year, participants submitted 99 entries and included network and regional metal trading companies, as well as sales networks of metallurgical companies, metal depots and service metal centres.

MMK TH and the separate subdivisions that are part of its branch network received multiple awards, with MMK TH named among the winners in the Best Federal Sales Network competition. In the competition of metal service centres, the production division of MMK Shchelkovo was awarded in the category Best Specialised SMC for Processing Galvanised and Painted Rolled Products.

In the competition for Best Metal Depot of Russia, MMK TH’s Samara division was recognised as the best in terms of service quality, while the MMK TH warehouse in Ekaterinburg won the Best Metal Warehouse in the Urals title and a subdivision in Volgograd won in the Best Metal Depot of South Russia category. Additionally, MMK Barnaul Trading House and MMK Krasnoyarsk Trading House warehouse complexes were among the winners of the Best Metal Depot in Russia 2020 contest.

MMK Trading House is an authorised representative of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) in all regions of Russia and in the Republic of Kazakhstan, whose primary task is the sale of metal products from the plant and other MMK Group enterprises. The Company unites more than 30 divisions in Russia, covering all the leading domestic industrial centres, as well as five divisions in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

MMK Trading House has a well-developed warehouse network that promotes the plant's products and MMK Group enterprises to small businesses, strengthens the Company’s position in the end-user segment and develops market niches, such as the high-strength and wear-resistant rolled product segment. The Company plays an important role in the sales structure of MMK by reducing the product wait time for consumers and providing logistics-related services.
