OMK Delivered Pipes for Arctic LNG 2

OMK (United Metallurgical Company), a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, delivered over 12 thousand tons of pipes for the Arctic LNG 2 project realized by NOVATEK, as it was informed by the company Nov. 17.

OMK’s products will be used in the construction of gravity-type foundation elements and modules of the upper structures of the natural gas liquefaction plant in the zone with high seismic activity on the Gydan Peninsula (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district), so they meet the most stringent requirements, including weldability, cold resistance, crack resistance, and flatness. Rolled products of 8-80 mm in thickness were produced at Vyksa OMK Plant.

OMK is one of the largest Russian producers of metal products for leading energy, transport and industrial companies. OMK is a comprehensive supplier of products for the production and transportation of gas and oil. It produces pipes for various purposes, railway wheels, sheet metal, connecting parts of pipelines, pipe fittings etc.

OMK announced a new corporate philosophy at Metal-Expo’2020. Metal-Expo’2020, the 26th International Industrial Exhibition finished in Moscow on November 13. The event became the only steel industry exhibition held in the world since the first lockdown. More than 300 steel and steel–related companies arranged their expositions at VDNHa fairground on November, among them 230 Russian companies and 70 from the CIS and abroad.
