Ruspolimet Signs a Contract with Inteco at Metal-Expo`2021

At Metal-Expo 2021 the Russian special steel producer Ruspolymet, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, assigned INTECO with the engineering and supply of two new furnaces - VIM and ESR furnaces.

The highly modern vacuum arc remelting furnace will remelt the electrode produced by the VIM furnace and give Ruspolymet the opportunity to in future open up foreign markets. This most modern unit will feature all state-of-the-art features such as protective gas operation, full coaxial high current line and a completely updated control system of newest generation.

ESR furnace will be designed in a most flexible configuration enabling the operation in collar molds (with electrode change) with a retractable base plate as well as in static molds (single electrode remelting).

According to Viktor Klochay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Ruspolymet, these new VIM and ESR furnaces complement the line of world-class furnaces that are already operating at the enterprise and will expand the company's capabilities in the field of special metallurgy.

At Metal-Expo 2021 all enterprises of PJSC Ruspolymet demonstrated innovative products obtained during the implementation of import-substituting investment projects.
