WWF-Russia assessed the level of openness of environmental information of MMK

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works – MMK, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, moved up to fourth place in the environmental transparency ranking of mining and metals companies in Russia by WWF.

The 38 companies included in the rating were assessed according to three criteria: the quality of environmental management, the level of environmental impact, and the completeness of information disclosure. MMK took a high position in the third criterion, dividing 3-4 lines.

MMK pays great attention to increasing information transparency. In September 2021, the AK&M rating agency rated MMK's environmental transparency as one of the best in Russia. And in November 2021, MMK took first place in the ESG transparency rating of Russian companies and banks, compiled by the Expert RA rating agency.
