FTSE Russel Upgrades NLMK’s ESG Rating

NLMK Group, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, a global steel company, announces today that the FTSE Russel agency has revised NLMK’s FTSE4Good rating upwards from 3.4 to 4.3 (with a maximum of 5.0) following its regular review. With this new rating, NLMK Group now ranks among the top 3% of steelmaking companies with the most sustainable practices (outstripping 97% of participating companies).

Matters of sustainable development are integrated into NLMK’s long-term strategy. The Company’s performance is reflected in its high standings in ESG ratings. Earlier in 2021, NLMK Group received the high B- grade from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the leading global organization for rating companies’ climate sustainability. In addition, NLMK Group ranked among the top 3 companies in the WWF Environmental Transparency Rating. In 2021, Sustainalytics increased NLMK’s sustainability rating — the Company is currently among the 10 best steelmaking companies of the 140 that the agency analyses. In the Forbes Best Employers Rating, NLMK received the highest grade in the Environment section. In 2021, the World Steel Association awarded NLMK Group the title of Sustainability Champion.
