MMK Develops Anti-Graffiti Coated Steel
In March 2022, the company of MMK Group Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant (Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, launched an industrial production of rolled products with coatings of a new generation - an anti-graffiti coating that effectively protects against vandalism in the form of pasted leaflets or traces of paint, and an “antibacterial” coating with protection against microorganisms.
The company has also mastered the production of rolled products with polyurethane textured coating and polyester textured coating of increased elasticity, designed for complex elements and structures, for example, gutter systems.
MMK-LMZ continues to produce wrinkled rolled products with medium and large texture: in 2021, 1.6 thousand tons of such products were sold. Currently, three colors of rolled products with a wrinkled coating are available to consumers, an expansion of the color palette is planned.
One of the promising areas is still the development of the production of new types of rolled products with a decorative SteelArt coating. Currently, nine drawings of this branded rolled product are being produced. By the beginning of the construction season, it is planned to bring to the market five more drawings (two vintage drawings, “Venge” of two shades and “steel pearls”, externally simulating stainless steel rolled products).
