NLMK Group tops ESG rating in Russia by RAEX-Europe

NLMK Group, a global steel company, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, ranked first in the ESG rating by RAEX-Europe, an independent rating agency.

The rating selects ESG leaders in 12 key sectors of the Russian economy based on 200 parameters. The Company received its highest scores in environmental and social sections, ranking first and third, respectively, among a total of 155 participants.

The high standing in the rating reaffirms NLMK's commitment to ESG principles: sustainable development is integrated into NLMK Group’s long-term strategy.

The Company’s efforts are reflected in its high performance on the respective ratings. In 2021, NLMK Group received the high B- score from Carbon Disclosure Project, a leading global organization in environmental impact assessment. NLMK Group was also ranked among the top 3 companies in the WWF Environmental Transparency Rating. In the Forbes Best Employers Rating, NLMK received the highest grade in the Environment section. In 2021, the World Steel Association (worldsteel) awarded NLMK Group the title of Sustainability Champion.
