The meeting discussed current problems of the Russian metallurgical industry. In particular, the issues of supplying enterprises with domestic equipment and materials, developing the mineral resource base, and improving logistics were addressed.
The 25th scientific and technical seminar "Zinc - corrosion protection" was held, where the situation in the field of hot dip galvanising of steel structures was analysed.
Issues of import substitution were discussed at the meeting of the Foundry and Forging and Stamping Production Committee of the Metallurgy and Heavy Engineering Committee of the Russian Engineering Union.
A number of events were devoted to expanding the use of steel products in the construction sector. And at the end of the day, EVRAZ held the Steel Beam Award Ceremony.
Please be advised that more than 10 events are scheduled for 30 October at the Metallurgists' Forum. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is holding a meeting on the Interindustry Programme for the development of new types and improvement of the quality of metal products for the automotive industry. There will also be a round table of manufacturers of galvanised and painted rolled products, the presentation of official dealer certificates to the partners of the Pipe Metallurgical Company and a number of other events, including the awarding of the winners of the Metal Vision'2024 contest.
The second day of the Metallurgists' Forum traditionally sees the highest level of attendance from specialists from metal-consuming sectors related to metallurgy. This will result in an even greater number of visitors on 30 October. The Metal Week and Metal-Expo events will continue to serve as the industry's primary platform for expert engagement throughout the week.
